Mini-Vacation at Surfside

Our family had the privilege of getting to attend

the Summer Spectacular meeting at Life Baptist Church

in St. Stephen, SC, with Bro. Alfred Willis. My husband

was to preach in the campmeeting, as well as on Sunday

morning. We had a wonderful time. We love that

church and those precious people.

After leaving the meeting, we took a couple

of days to visit the ocean.

We went to Surfside, SC. We've never visited

there so we weren't sure what to expect. In all

honesty, it was a little too crowded for us.

However, we just made the best of the situation

by spending most of our time on the beach during

the wee morning hours and late evening hours.

During the day, we just took it easy and rested.

Oh wow, that looks like such a beautiful place. I love the water, don't get to go to it very often and we we do it's usually too cold to enjoy it.
Anyhow, I'm so glad you did, enjoy it that is!!

It really was a beautiful beach (much nicer early in the morning before the crowds picked up) We haven't been to the ocean (other than a day trip for a couple of hours) since Emily was four years old. She really enjoyed getting to play around in the sand and getting her feet wet in the ocean. She tried playing in the waves too, but didn't enjoy that quite as much. We are thankful for a couple of days to just relax and enjoy God's beautiful world. Hope your furlough is going well. Gonna be in east Tennessee????? ;)

Looks like fun. Great views. It's always great to get away for awhile.
