Graduation Congratulations!

My nephew, Daniel Lee Rollins,
graduated from White County High School
last week. He is a very sweet young man.
We are very proud of him.

He is very sweet, just not very "smiley"

Daniel is very talented. He recently taught himself
how to play banjo. He plays many other instruments.
He is currently using his talents for the Lord by playing
in a local gospel singing group that sings in revivals in
their area.

Marching in...Daniel was one of 277 seniors
to graduate

Ladies Trip to Ohio

This past weekend, a few of our ladies were able to
attend a Ladies meeting in Ohio. We had a wonderful
time, beginning with great fellowship on the van,
at the meeting itself, and then the return trip. I would
like to express my thanks to Sis. Alicia Reagan for
inviting us for this event. It was such a blessing to get
to be with your ladies, and spend a some time with
them. We all enjoyed every part of the meeting, and
we are grateful for the work and effort put forth by
your ladies. It truly was special. I would also like to
thank a few ladies who accompanied us from the
Harriman Baptist Tabernacle, Sis Darlene's
daughter Christy, daughter-in-law, Helen, and her
very sweet granddaughters. We loved having you
along. You all were a blessing to us, especially the
beautiful singing. I'd also, like to mention that I sure
do appreciate Bro Jonathan for taking the extra time
to stay with the van, on our return trip. We had sooooo
much fun teasing him about needing to stop, AGAIN.
( He was there visiting his sister, he didn't attend the ladies
meeting!) Anyway, he was very sweet and very
patient with us. And, last, but definitely NOT least, I'd like
to thank our church, who helped us to be able to
go by paying the fees, putting new tires on the church
van, and paying for the gas. We were all so blessed
to go, and we want you to know how much we
appreciate it.

We were served a delicious meal consisting of the
baked chicken, baked potatoes, green beans, salad,
rolls, and a choice of dessert. Very yummy!

The Speaker~ Mrs. Stepanie Fowler~
She gave a great devotion on Mary
and Martha.
I failed to get a picture of Sis. Alicia. She and I recently
met, and she has been such a blessing to me. She has
faced some great adversity in the last few weeks, but
she has faced it with the help and grace of the Lord. Please
pray for this precious lady, as she still has some difficult
days ahead.

Winner of the Candles

Thank you to all the ladies who commented
to enter the drawing. This morning, I had Emily
to do the honors of drawing the name out. So,
congratulations to Becky, who will receive
the two candles. I will be contacting Becky
today. Keep reading, ladies, as I may do
another "give-away" in the near future.

100th Post Give-Away

I can't believe it! This is my 100th post.
Several of the blogs that I have read have
done a "give-away" when they posted
their 100th post. I wasn't sure I had
anything of interest to give away ( my
homemade candles, but since I assume
the few who read my blog already have
my candles, who would be interested?)
But then, I thought, why not? It might
be an interesting way to find out who
is still reading. So, in honor of my
100th post, I am hosting a candle
"give-away."

I will be giving away, TWO of my
10-oz. candles. One is my best seller,
Baked Apple Pie, and then another
of my great sellers, Sunwashed Linen.
I decided on these two, based on my
experience in selling candles. Some
ladies enjoy "food" scented candles,
while others prefer a "clean" scent.
For this reason, I chose one of my
best sellers of each type.

All you need to do, is leave a comment
with this post asking me to "put your
name in the hat" and leave an email
address where I can contact you for
shipping information. The deadline to
enter my "give-away" will be Friday,
May 8th at midnight (EST). I will
announce the winner on Saturday.

I am excited to see how many people
actually respond. There have been
folks that have commented at times but
some of them seem to have tapered
off, so I am not sure how many are
still reading. It'll be fun, anyway!
